Modern Casual Kitchen Design in Great Falls, VA

We helped them redesign what was originally an extremely traditional kitchen and transformed it into a modern, casual kitchen with a timeless appearance. Opting for a more modern kitchen will give your space a fresher look and add some sophisticated character to the overall design and feel of your home.

The project took a total of 7 months, with half of that time used for planning and design. Our award-winning kitchen designers plan and design every custom project with care, ensuring that our vision is the same as our clients’ and that the whole family is completely satisfied. Combining Warm and Cool Elements in the Custom Cabinetry

While completely redoing the floor was an option, we loved the warmth the existing wood floors brought to the space. Incorporating both warm and cool wood tones in the floor and custom cabinetry allowed us to keep this kitchen fresh and elegant, but comfortable and inviting as well. Pairing darker cabinets with lighter floors upgraded the room to look modern but cohesive with the rest of the house.

Using engineered wood cabinetry by Elmwood Frameless All Wood Cabinetry balanced the old and new, contrasting the older floor beautifully. For the cabinet color, we chose Gunmetal Ebony Horizontal Grain, using the brown undertones tones to play off the lighter, warmer floor.

Appliances and Countertops

For this look, we chose modern Miele appliances with stainless steel finishes to help give the space a polished, contemporary look. Pairing these with a Caesarstone quartz countertop softened the atmosphere of the kitchen as a whole, making it more inviting with the lighter surfaces.

We chose this specific countertop because of the non-porous, scratch-resistant surface ideal for any kitchen that sees a lot of use. Caesarstone surfaces have double the impact resistance of granite while outperforming marble, making them perfect for families that want a durable, practical surface that is beautiful. We made sure there was plenty of storage in this kitchen, with tons of organizational space.
