Award-Winning Kitchen Design
Are you ready to remodel your kitchen? If so, you want the best design you can get, not a cookie-cutter kitchen and design you don’t really care for. With the right company, an award-winning kitchen design is possible!
Characteristics of an Award-Winning Kitchen Design
Regardless of the shape, size, layout, or style, award-winning kitchens share certain characteristics. They are all:
- Beautiful
- Efficient
- Matched to the homeowners’ needs
Beautiful: Beauty is subjective, of course, but award-winning kitchens are all attractive in their own unique ways. Whether a cozy rustic kitchen or an elegant, traditional style kitchen with glass chandeliers and marble countertops, a great kitchen looks exactly how you want it to look. Award-winning kitchens aren’t cluttered, cramped, and falling apart.
Efficient: Every award-winning kitchen design is efficient and includes the “work triangle,” which refers to the refrigerator, sink, and cooking range (the three “points” of the triangle). They should be fairly close together and there should be easy movement between all three – you don’t want to have to walk all the way across the kitchen to put something from the fridge in the sink! This makes cooking a hassle and isn’t efficient at all. Other kitchen efficiency considerations to keep in mind include storage and cabinetry, among other things. Is your kitchen efficient or do you need a new award-winning kitchen design?
Matched to the Homeowner’s Needs: A kitchen that is gorgeous and well-designed is great, but it doesn’t do much if it doesn’t fit your needs! For example, a kitchen with a big table, heavy duty stainless steel sink, and beautiful granite countertops isn’t fitting for someone with a modern, on-the-go lifestyle who doesn’t use the kitchen every day. Instead, a better kitchen design for someone like this would feature things like a drawer dishwasher (meant for smaller loads) and breakfast nook for a quick meal.
